Reuters: Gas Turbine revenue doubles, current trading robust

Britain's Gas Turbine Efficiency said on Monday 2008 revenue almost doubled to $35.1 million thanks to strong demand from its key markets and that trading in the current year was robust.
The company, whose core product is a cleaning service for gas turbines in the aviation and power industries, swung to a pretax profit of $0.9 million as order intake jumped to $46.7 million.
Gas Turbine said order backlog and revenues for 2009 stood at $26.7 million as of March 31, up 53 percent on the same time last year.
Shares in Gas Turbine, which have gained 48 percent so far this year after a series of positive trading updates, closed on Friday at 25.5 pence.
