Job Overview

We are actively recruiting a Project Manager for our Gas Turbine Efficiency (GTE) facility in Orlando, Florida. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall success of their projects ensuring that they are on budget, on time and delivering a product that meets the customer’s expectations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Review the customer supplied Master Document List
  • Determine a schedule and make assignments for the MDL submittal requirements that meet the customer specifications
  • Determine what other project resources are needed to be involved for specific parts of the design. (Example- electrical requirements, outside contractors, etc.)
  • Review the engineering, design, and procurement cycle budget with the PE(s) so they understand the project budget requirements
  • Schedule a project kickoff meeting
  • Provide any quality specifications required to the QC director for review of the quality documents needed for the project
  • Provide the shop labor budget numbers to Manufacturing Manager and Planner
  • Share with Procurement team any long lead purchases and any component or equipment that is critical path to the promised delivery date of the project
  • Present to Shipping/Receiving Manager any special packaging, shipping or crating necessary according to the customer specifications
  • Provide progress reports as requested by the Projects Director
  • Provide Budget analysis (Under / Over) – Spent + remaining versus budget
  • Keep a log of project questions raised by internal team members or client questions

Required Skills/Knowledge

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to forge relationships both internal and external personnel and work as a team player
  • Exhibit a professional and positive demeanor throughout all personal interactions
  • Must be proficient in Adobe Acrobat and MS office, quite specifically: Outlook, Project, Excel, Word and Power Point

Experience

  • 3-5 years in project management or related activities

Education Requirements

  • High school education
  • Technical background preferred
